About Us
We are Big Kid, and we make some of the best ice cream in the business. Hailing from the Midlands, Wolverhampton we work directly with Chatham's Organic Dairy Farm in Shropshire where we have been honing our craft since 2022. We believe ice cream should always be fun and have big dreams for our little business. We’ve just celebrated our 3rd birthday and after our success in Soho last year, we’re permanently reopening our little shop on Kingly St this summer and are looking for a fantastic Shop Manager & Team Members to make sure our flagship store both looks and plays the part. We're also taking our van out of retirement for the summer and have a program of events to get involved in. We anticipate a grand reopening of the store mid/end of May and are looking for a hands on people who can help us grow in London this year.

Shop Manager

Location: Soho, Central London
Hours: Full-time (35–40 hours/week)
Pay: £14.15 per hour
Start date: May 2025 (flexible)

The Role
As Shop Manager, you’ll be the driving force behind the daily operations of our Soho store. This is a full-time role where you’ll be working closely with myself to shape the day-to-day running of things so I’m looking for a friendly face who like myself finds great value in delivering top notch service and can make sure our little shop in Soho both looks the part and plays the part.

Our shop is only small so you’ll need to be confident working alone and charming a queue. You'll be leading our team and will be vital in making sure everyone is supported for their shifts. You’ll also need to be comfortable working with the content creators from time to time - our ice cream is hot shit and people need to take pretty photos of it!

I’m also taking the ice cream van out of retirement for the season and have a busy schedule of collaborations, events and festivals which I’ll need support with. So come alive!

Key Responsibilities

Lead, train and motivate a small team of staff
Manage day-to-day shop operations, from opening to closing
Charm a queue and ensure excellent customer service
Handle stock management and ordering
Maintain cleanliness, health & safety, and food hygiene standards
Maintain key relationships with neighbours and estate staff
Help with scheduling and staff welfare.
Report on sales, performance and shop needs to myself

We’re Looking For

Ideally someone with previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role in hospitality or retail
Great communicator and natural people person
Confident self starter and ability to stay calm under pressure
A friendly face with a proactive, hands on attitude
Attention to the finer details and the little quirks which set us apart from the rest
Great taste in food and a passion for the industry
Keen to get involved in events, content creation and collaborations

Part-Time Team Members

Location: Soho, London events, Festivals
Hours: Flexible (weekdays, evenings, and weekends available)
Pay: London Living Wage (£13.85 per hour)
Start date: May 2025 (flexible)

The Role
We’re always on the lookout for friendly, enthusiastic and reliable part-time team members to scoop with us this summer — both in our Soho shop and at events around London. This is a great opportunity to be part of a fun, fast-paced environment and work with a young, independent brand from the ground up. We are also taking our van out of retirement and have a line up of events and festivals this year.

We’re open 7 days a week, 10+ hours a day so plenty of flexibility with shifts.
